We would like to start off by wishing all of our supporters a very happy and prosperous new year. With your help we treated over 33,000 patients and operated on almost 1,200 cataracts in 2021, and we hope to give the gift of sight to as many people as possible in 2022.
No one is refused treatment and we rely on your help to do this important work. Please click the 'support us' page to see how you can help. Our regular monthly donors in particular are invaluable as they give us a regular income and allow us to plan ahead. It is simple, safe and secure to set up a regular direct debit through the Charities Aid Foundation. Click here to set it up!
Staff have been hard at work at the Eye Centre giving the gift of sight. Saidi came to the Eye Centre and was diagnosed with cataract. After a simple operation he can see again!
The farmer the preacher and a soldier. All three men were found blind by our field team. None of them had been able to work for some years because they were blind. These three gentlemens’ lives completely changed when they came for cataract surgery at Kwale Eye Centre!
We want to hear from you!
As you are likely aware, Eyes For East Africa is a UK charity existing solely to support the work of Kwale Eye Centre, Kenya. The work that is done at Kwale Eye Centre would not be possible without the incredibly kind support we receive from all of you! Both Eyes For East Africa and Kwale Eye Centre are currently reaching out to our audiences to understand what we do right and what we can improve on, especially when it comes to communication. To achieve this, we need your help! We are asking our supporters to complete a survey, which you can access by clicking the link below:
