Day to day expenses

To give you an idea of our day to day expenses:

  • $4 USD will buy a pair of reading glasses for an elderly patient
  • $36 USD will buy a box of sutures for operations on 12 eye lids
  • $96 USD buys a pair of microsurgical forceps
  • $1700 USD will fund a patient attendant's salary for one year
  • $4285 will fund a trained nurse's salary for one year
